Bought for £25 (plus another 25 quid as a sweetener to buy me some time to arrange a trailer to get it home) from a lady in deepest Devon. Came complete with vacant rats nest in the boot and dog turd on the rear seat. It was a runner, but required a fair bit of work for the MOT. So far I've replaced the rear dampers, full exhaust system, front balljoints, track rod ends, steering gaiters, driveshafts, speedometer cable and interior. I've undertaken welding on the footwells, sills and rear inner arches and resprayed it in Ford Radiant Red from its original Gold paintwork.
I've had some running issues with engine timing, which manifested itself as an intermittent problem with misfiring and pinking. This has been solved by replacement of the original SEV Marchal distributor with a Ducellier unit from a spare 1289cc '810' engine.
