I have a very reluctant sale of my pride and joy, which is my Renault 5 Gordini
I bought this car last year with the intension of finishing this project off but I have not had the time to do this
Since I have owned this car I have had a brand new complete clutch fitted which was not an easy job (or so my mechanic told me) and not cheap (it cost £300 to have it done). I put it through an mot and it only failed on a missing wing mirror which was amazing considering it had been off the road for 13 years
The previous owner devoted himself to this car and had another engine fitted and restored the bodywork of the car himself. He also had a GT Turbo carb conversion fitted
The underneath of this car is absolutely immaculate and the paintwork is very good too although I think it could do with the sides being redone as there are some imperfections on some of the repairs. This car is rot free which is very rare on a Renault 5 but it would make a good start to finishing this project off.
This car will need to be trailered away although it is taxed and MOT'd, due to incorrect tyres fitted which rub the wheel arches at the rear because it is lowered and the battery has completely had it
The reason I am selling this car is because I am moving and there is no where to park her and I just haven't got the time or money to spend on her as I have 13 other classic cars which are costing me a fortune to tax, MOT and insure
I have been reliably informed that there are only 12 other MOT'd Gordinis left in the UK so that makes this car very rare indeed
I will be adding tommorrow when the tax and mot run out once I have dug all the paper work out for it
It is very important that this car goes to another Renault enthusiast as this is a very special car and with a little bit of money putting it right like tuning, battery and tyres plus a little bit of paintwork you would have a real head turner

As promised and due to the mass interest in my little baby, the MOT runs out March 15th 2008 and tax is until end of April
