A517 SGO History

I bought this car in 1995, for £30 (GBP), after it had been involved in a minor crash. £200 later, it was back on the road! My father and I straightened out the front inner wing and the front crossmember. We renewed the damaged wing, bonnet, headlamp, grille and bumper. We also replaced the interior, which was crumbling due to sun damage.

The car has been a lot of fun - in 1999 we replaced the engine, as it kept suffering from head-gasket failure. The new engine's head gasket also failed, so we had it completely rebuilt.

The car still exists today (March 2007), but needs a little TLC. It's not rotten or beyond repair at all. However, it needs:

• Driveshaft Gaiters
• A little bodywork repair
• (Probably) new Rear Suspension Bushes

It's just a matter of getting stuck in!
