This splendid example of British engineering was once "The World's most economical car" according to its sales literature. It is a Bond Minicar Mark F. Its basic specifications read:

Performance Max. speed: 55 mph

Cruising speed: 45 mph

Fuel consumption: 80-85 mpg

Engine Villiers Mark 31A/4 Single-cylinder 2-stroke

Cubic capacity: 250cc

Other features are: The engine is mounted directly in front of the front wheel, and the whole assembly turns as the steering wheel is turned. The wheel can be pointed at 90 degrees to the body meaning the car can turn around in its own length! The car uses flexitor suspension at the rear, similar to that found on many light trailers. The car is light enough for one person to lift up the back of the car. The brakes are cable operated at the front and rod operated at the rear. They are not very effective! The car has a four speed gearbox and an electric starter. Some models are equipped with reverse. To use reverse on these cars, the engine must be started backwards!
