Renault 5 Buyer's Guide in Classic Car Weekly! Make sure you pop into a newsagents to check it out... The first (to my knowledge) widely published, comprehensive buyer's guide of the Renault 5 since it achieved classic status!
The time has come to slim down the collection. I am selling my 5 Gordini Atmo.
The good bits:
New front and rear wings, new sills, all new brake pipes, new timing chain, new clutch,(plate cover and thrust)new ball joints upper and lower, new track rod end, recent exhaust, 4 brand new (never driven on )tyres.Engine, gearbox both very good.Doors are good, one had some rot where the pocket goes on but has been neutralised.
There is a couple of months MOT remaining.New cv+rack gaiters where required. Bonnet and boot like new
Bad bits:
Needs painting properly, I threw some paint at it 4 years ago to stop it rusting, but it is an awful job. However there would be little to do as it was virtually bare metalled. The interior is rough, although it is all there it really needs replacing. There has been significant welding on the car but it is solid and has now beedn waxoyled everywhwere.Missing bits.Exhaust manifold guard, spotlight glass/bulbs.One driveshaft wobbles sometimes.Needs battery
Car is in North Devon
Canvassers will be politely told to f. off
