Renault 5 Buyer's Guide in Classic Car Weekly! Make sure you pop into a newsagents to check it out... The first (to my knowledge) widely published, comprehensive buyer's guide of the Renault 5 since it achieved classic status!
Last year when I was trying to find a single down draught setup for an Alpine project, I found more interest in the old side draught setup than I had luck with finding a stock manifold.
Given the interest in this part--and hoping everyone has cleared their Holiday bills--I figured I would offer this set-up here before I list it on eBay.
The lot includes two Weber 45 DCOE carbs--but no air cleaner--and the short pipe intake manifold. In the US it was sold as the Alpine racing manifold, though in Europe I would guess there was actually a Gr. designation that went along with that. I will get pictures posted by Friday so you can see what I am talking about. Carbs will need to be rebuilt as they have been sitting for more than 10 years.
Offers around $400 USD will be entertained, but if there is no interest shown by the end of the weekend I will be listing on eBay... just wanted to give y'all a fair shake at it first. Shipping to England should only be about $60 USD, so please e-mail me if you're interested and we will work out a private eBay auction.
